*reading longer stories, expository books, and getting caught up in your first chapter books.
*making decisions about what you think will happen in a story and writing your prediction in a journal.
*experiencing for the first time, how to do trading with big numbers and counting larger amounts of money.
*drawing maps, voting, creating a factory, and finding out about our country now and long ago.
*exploring electricity, making an electromagnet, and learning more about animal and plant characteristics.
*Finding out more about nouns, verbs, describing words and how they work in a sentence.
*recognizing how vowels work with consonants to create various spellings of words.
*using the computer to locate information about an animal and writing your very first research paper.
*teaming up with partners to read your writing and help each other edit work in a positive way.
